A man is dead after being involved in shooting with police. 23-year-old Jax Melwing was identified as the suspect, and two Peoria Police Department officers were injured. At approximately 6:50 a.m. on Dec. 1, four Peoria Police Officers were involved in a shooting after responding to a suspicious circumstance incident near Grand Avenue and Loop 101 in Peoria.
