Goodyear Mayor Joe Pizzillo applauded the city’s 2024 success and gave a sneak peek into upcoming plans during the annual State of the City address, given via YouTube. The address, split across several videos starting Feb. 26, highlights its investments in public safety, traffic improvements, water infrastructure and small businesses.
Throughout the videos, Pizzillo lauds Goodyear as among the fastest-growing cities in the country, and he described the proactive measures the city is taking to serve the existing community and the influx of new residents.
“I have a great council, and everything we do is a team effort. We all work together as a team to improve the lives of our community,” Pizzillo said. “We’re trying to (build) a holistic city, a place where you can work, play and raise your family. I believe we will be the jewel of the southwest when we get done with all the stuff we’re doing here.”…
