Peoria police officers rescue kitten trapped in storm drain

PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — Peoria police officers came to the rescue of a furry friend earlier this week!

On Thursday, Peoria police received a call from a concerned resident who reported strange noises were coming from a storm drain at her apartment complex. Lt. Carpenter and Sgt. Koerner arrived at the complex, only to find a poor kitten stuck inside the drain!

Using two swimming pool poles, duct tape and a net, the two officers successfully got the kitty out. Police say the kitten was lovingly named “Stormy,” and found her forever home!

Thank you to the two officers for a purr-fectly executed rescue!…
