Man sentenced to 19 years for attacks on homeless people in Phoenix park

Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced the sentencing of a man involved in violent crimes against homeless people. Isaiah Adams faces 19 years in prison.

The county attorney’s office says Adams targeted people who lived at La Pradera Park near 39th and Glendale avenues.

While on pretrial release for street-level drug offenses in 2024, Adams physically attacked a homeless man. Adams also shot the man in the back and left him permanently disabled. Over a week later, Adams proceeded to shoot another homeless person following a violent confrontation…
