Motorcyclist, 70, dies in Phoenix crash

A 70-year-old man died following a crash Monday night after the motorcycle he was driving collided with another vehicle, police said.

Officers responded to the area of 16th Street and Riverview Drive about 10:10 p.m. July 14 and found Jeffrey Barnes-Aversa with serious injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Barnes-Aversa was traveling north on 16th Street when he collided with the other vehicle as it was turning onto 16th Street from Riverview Drive, police said…
