ARIZONA DRIVER WHO PLOWED INTO PELOTON KILLING 2 GETS MAXIMUM OF 1 YEAR IN JAIL

The driver who plowed into a Saturday morning group training ride in Arizona USA, killing two cyclists and injuring 17 others, on 25 February 2023 has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges, according to the Goodyear City Prosecutor’s Office.

In August Pedro Quintana-Lujan pleaded guilty to two counts of causing death by a moving violation and ten counts of causing serious physical injury by a moving violation, according to court records.

He will potentially serve a maximum of one year in an Arizona state prison, pay fines of up to $2500, perform 60 hours of community service, submit to quarterly drug testing and have his driver’s license suspended for up to six months, according to the terms of a plea deal he reached with the prosecutor’s office. A judge will decide the final terms of sentencing on 4 September…
