Glendale approves water deal for large pools at VAI Resort

VAI Resort will be able to buy water to fill its large pools after the Glendale City Council finalized an agreement for the purchase and sale of 50 acre-feet of treated wastewater per year for the resort.

That’s enough to fill about 25 Olympic-sized pools per year.

VAI, which is under construction near Loop 101 and Cardinals Way, has two large pools of about 1 acre each, and a state law restricts the use of water to fill lakes, pools, ponds and other large bodies of water unless the user finds an appropriate exception…
