Breaking news in south Phoenix as an arrest has been made following the fatal shooting of 41-year-old Gabino Martinez Jr. back on August 15. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, Martinez Jr. was found shot to death early in the morning, lying in front of a home near 7th and Southern Avenues.
The Phoenix Police Department quickly responded to the scene after the shooting was reported just before 3:45 a.m. “Homicide detectives responded and took over the investigation,” Sgt. Phil Krynsky stated on FOX 10 Phoenix, having released the individuals who were initially detained after processing the scene, speaking to witnesses, and searching for video surveillance. Despite determined efforts, the events leading up to the shooting remain unknown.
Over three weeks later, 33-year-old Luis Alejandro Mejia Mollinedo was identified as the suspect and has been taken into custody. AZ Family reports that Mollinedo, now facing a murder charge, was arrested in connection with the death of Martinez Jr., whose life was claimed by a gunshot wound at the aforementioned location…
