PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One person is in custody after a pursuit caused a major traffic backup in the midst of morning rush hour on Wednesday.
According to the Department of Public Safety (DPS), a multi-vehicle crash occurred on I-10 westbound near 24th Street. As troopers arrived at the crash site, one driver fled the scene.
Troopers pursued the driver until authorities stopped the vehicle near I-10 and 19th Avenue. The driver was then taken into custody.
