SURPRISE, AZ (AZFamily) — One person is dead, and four other people were injured after a multi-car crash on the Loop 303 in Surprise Friday afternoon.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the crash happened around 4 p.m. on the northbound lanes of the Loop 303 near the Grand Avenue exit.
Troopers say a pickup truck slammed into the back of a van that was stopped in traffic. A passenger in the front seat of the van died on scene.
The truck also hit two other cars. Troopers confirmed that two people were hospitalized, and two others had minor injuries. No information was provided about the severity of injuries for the two hospitalized victims…
