A teen has been taken into custody following a shooting at a Halloween party in north Scottsdale. Near Bell Road and Thompson Peak Parkway, the incident, which took place on Oct. 26 just before 12:30 a.m., resulted in a male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
Scottsdale Police Department officials reported to FOX 10 Phoenix that upon their arrival at the scene of the large gathering, they found the injured boy, who was subsequently hospitalized with injuries not considered to be life-threatening. Walking into the chaos with sirens blaring, the officers secured the corridor and proceeded to interview witnesses. It is said that detectives and crime scene specialists were also on hand to further the investigation.
Following an in-depth investigation that included witness interviews and surveillance footage from the area, a 17-year-old male suspect was arrested on November 5.
