Scottsdale police respond to standoff, school threat, bike death

In a busy few days, Scottsdale Police officers responded to a domestic violence suspect barricaded in his home, a student who allegedly sent a threatening message and a fatal bicycle accident.

Late afternoon Dec. 8, bicyclist Devin Curran died after being hit by a car near Thompson Peak Parkway and Raintree Drive.

“The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene,” according to Officer Aaron Bolin. “Speed and impairment are not considered factors in the collision.”…
