PHOENIX, Ariz. (WKRC) – A woman allegedly shot a 4-year-old boy in the face, nearly killing him, after threatening to shoot up a house her ex-boyfriend was staying at following their break up.
Local outlet AZ Family reported that on the morning of January 6, 29-year-old Joanna Chalup Cortez was hanging out with the mother of 4-year-old Qahsiem Sinclair and a third woman who previously dated the man Cortez was currently in a relationship with. Cortez and the third woman reportedly started arguing, concluding with Cortez calling her boyfriend and breaking up with him and kicking him out of her house.
The women reportedly drove to Cortez’s house to pick up her former boyfriend and brought him to his brother’s apartment, where he lives with his girlfriend and son, Qahsiem…
