MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — A dramatic close call at a busy West Valley railroad crossing was caught on camera Tuesday afternoon when a semi-truck was struck by a train just seconds after the driver got out of the cab.
The crash happened near 107th Avenue and MC85, just outside Avondale. Video of the incident shows the traffic light turn red as the crossing arms come down. Moments later, the driver jumps out and runs as the train slams into the truck.
