A late-night collision on the Loop 303 in Surprise turned deadly Monday, when a motorcyclist was thrown from their bike and later died from injuries, according to authorities. The multi-vehicle crash shut down southbound traffic for hours as troopers worked the scene and began piecing together what happened.
Investigators say the motorcycle was heading south on Loop 303 near Northern Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. when it struck the rear of a Chevrolet, according to Arizona’s Family. The impact reportedly ejected the rider, who suffered fatal injuries. Two additional vehicles were involved in the wreck, though officials have not said whether anyone in those vehicles was hurt.
