Family’s Ticking Time Bomb Nabbed After Stepfather, 91, Slain In Gilbert Home Horror

Relatives say a long, violent family saga came to a deadly halt on Nov. 22, 2025, when Gilbert police found 91-year-old Oscar Casdorph dead and his 81-year-old wife critically injured inside their home. Detectives later tracked a missing family vehicle to Glendale and arrested 56-year-old Gary Crawford, Casdorph’s stepson, who is now jailed on first-degree murder and attempted murder charges with bond set at $2 million. Speaking with 12News, Crawford’s sister labeled him “a ticking time bomb” and urged prosecutors to seek the toughest punishment possible as the case moves forward.
