When the City of Surprise welcomes The Wall That Heals in April, there will be daily events and volunteer opportunities for the community, as well as a chance to nominate veterans who served in the Vietnam War for a special ‘In Memory’ program.
The Wall That Heals is a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that honors the more than three million Americans who served in the Vietnam War and bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. The exhibit and Mobile Education Center are coming to Mark Coronado Park from April 9-12. It will be open 24 hours a day until 2 p.m. on Sunday and is free for the public to experience.
