Peoria breaks ground on 1st new fire station in 20 years

PHOENIX — The city of Peoria has officially broken ground on its first new fire station in 20 years.

Fire-Medical Station 198, located near Vistancia Boulevard and White Peak Drive, broke ground Tuesday and is expected to be completed by 2027, according to a news release.

“As Peoria continues to grow, especially in the north, we are making intentional investments to ensure residents receive the highest level of fire and emergency medical services,” Mayor Jason Beck said. “Fire Station 198 represents our commitment to long-term planning, strategic investment and focus on building a safer community, not just for today, but for generations to come.”…
