PEORIA, Ariz. — Nearly a year after a decomposing body was found stuffed inside a suitcase in a Peoria backyard, police have arrested a 34-year-old man—not for murder, but for allegedly hiding the remains in his grandmother’s backyard.
Peoria police responded May 28, 2025, when a landscaper discovered was cleaning out a trash can and found a suitcase with human remains inside. Police said an arm and torso were sticking out of the suitcase and were covered in flies. Blood was also found inside the trash can.
