North Phoenix Teen Critically Shot Near 35th Ave & Cactus

A late-night burst of gunfire left a north Phoenix block on edge Monday, as a teenage boy was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting near 35th Avenue and Cactus Road.

Phoenix police said officers were called to the area around 9:20 p.m., where they found the teen with at least one gunshot wound. The person or people responsible took off before officers arrived, and investigators have not released any suspect description. Detectives are now working to piece together what happened.
