After serving as Avondale’s economic development director since 2024, Jennifer Stein has been promoted to assistant city manager. Now in her first week on the job, Stein said she is eager to serve the community in a new capacity.
“I am extremely excited about this opportunity and grateful to serve in the assistant city manager role for the city of Avondale — it’s just an incredible community,” she said. “I really enjoy working with a top-notch team, a council that has a strong vision and a great city manager with incredible priorities and alignment with that vision — it has really made this opportunity a great one to pursue.”
Stein’s first day was April 13, and she is currently transitioning into the role. As assistant city manager, she said her goal is to help shape the city by focusing on leadership’s key priorities — which include providing a high quality of life, services and amenities for residents.
