Meet the West Michigan residents fighting Microsoft and AI data centers

KENT COUNTY, MI — Betsy López-Wagner keeps a poster inside her home office in a rural part of West Michigan about 15 miles east of Grand Rapids.

It states on the poster: “If you see a problem and you feel that something should be done about it, and you look around and you see that no one else is doing anything — you’re elected.”
