Grand Rapids and Allegan included in statewide $19M affordable housing expansion

Nearly $19 million in federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits are being awarded to the Michigan State Housing Development Authority supporting the creation of 603 new affordable housing units across 13 developments in nine Michigan communities.

In Grand Rapids, the 848 Division development is receiving over $1.4 million creating 46 one- and two-bedroom units for households earning up to 60% or area median income, or AMI. The project will create 13 permanent jobs.

The Allegan Terrace development in Allegan is also receiving over $1.4 million creating 44 one- and two-bedroom units for households earning 30%, 40% and 80% AMI. The project will create 66 temporary jobs…
