Man charged with burglarizing collectibles shop of $65K in Pokémon cards, sports memorabilia, cash

SAGINAW, MI — The getaway driver in a 2018 Grand Rapids bank robbery has now been charged with twice burglarizing a Saginaw Township business of prized sports and Pokémon cards.

Jailed since his arrest on June 26, Quincy J. Melton on July 6 appeared before Saginaw County District Judge A.T. Frank for arraignment on two counts each of the following five charges:

  • Breaking and entering a building with intent to commit a larceny
  • Larceny more than $20,000
  • Receiving and concealing stolen property valued at $20,000 or more
  • Malicious destruction of a building between $1,000 and $20,000
  • Malicious destruction of personal property between $1,000 and $20,000

The first three charges are 10-year felonies, while the latter two are five-year felonies.
