Apple Jack is his name, a 3-year old tan pup, who is so loving and friendly. You would never guess his back story was one of abuse and terror.
God bless animal rescue folks who located the sickos who were running a dog fighting ring in Detroit. How anyone can do that sort of thing is beyond me. But Apple Jack was saved from his horrendous situation and is hoping to find a secure, loving home after coming to Grand Rapids.

Winni from the Humane Society of West Michigan visited our studios with Apple Jack. He was a total sweetie and very chill. He’s a happy guy and gives you kisses all the time.
Winni says he is looking for a home where he can probably be the only dog. And because they don’t know how he does with cats, a cat-free home is a good idea also. As for children, he may do well with older, respectful children who understand how to give dogs space when they need it. Let’s hope Apple Jack finds a good, loving home…
