GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — There are now more than 1,500 cases of the cyclosporiasis outbreak across Michigan, according to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Unlike many illnesses, cyclosporiasis doesn’t typically spread from person to person. Instead, people become infected by consuming contaminated food or water, making food safety a key focus during the outbreak.
