Measuring what matters

Wellness at Beacon Hill goes beyond physical health — it’s reflected in how people live each day. To explore that, we partnered with the Frost Center for Social Science Research at Hope College to launch the Human Flourishing Survey, gathering insights from both current and future residents about what shapes a life well lived. The results will establish a benchmark we can build on over time. They will guide how we shape programs, environments and experiences around movement, purpose and lifelong learning. Because flourishing isn’t measured once — it’s lived over time.

Building with purpose

The new West End is more than just square footage. It represents a commitment to sustainability and intergenerational engagement. From rain gardens and permeable paving to EV charging stations and on-campus green spaces, the design ensures that living well also means living responsibly.

Impact beyond the campus

Senior living has real economic power. Our $175 million investment strengthens Grand Rapids’ construction industry, hospitality sector and cultural partnerships. Our residents contribute thousands of volunteer hours to local causes, from the Grand Rapids Ballet to neighborhood food programs.
