POLKTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies are investigating after a pickup truck crashed into slowing traffic near Coopersville, striking multiple cars.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, it happened around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes of I-96 near the 48th Avenue overpass.
Deputies say a 22-year-old man from Paw Paw, who was driving a pickup truck hauling a trailer, had not realized traffic was slowing in front of him because of a lane closure for construction. He crashed into four cars as a result…
