GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Beginning July 24, the Michigan Street Corridor Improvement Authority will introduce its new, free pilot shuttle service between Michigan Street and downtown Grand Rapids.
The route’s two pickup points will be Grand Rapids Civic Theatre downtown and Pauly’s Wine Experience off Michigan Street, and the shuttle will run every Friday night from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. until September 11.

“Michigan Street’s well-known and loved by locals for its bars, cafes, and restaurants,” Sam Carbaugh, corridor manager of the Michigan Street Corridor Improvement Authority, said in a statement. “This shuttle will help visitors to Grand Rapids discover the magic for themselves.”
The new shuttle service is in partnership between the Michigan Street Corridor Improvement Authority, MobileGR and the City of Grand Rapids Economic Development Department, and it is a part of a larger, citywide push to make downtown Grand Rapids more easily traversable for visitors and residents.
Depending on the ridership of this pilot shuttle service, two additional weeks of service may be added to celebrate the upcoming Michigan Street Poutine Week restaurant event…
