GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — With voters already casting their ballots in Michigan’s Aug. 4 primary, local county clerks are offering reminders about how primaries are different than other elections.
“We do not have partisan registration, but when you’re participating in a primary election, you have to pick the party, you have to pick that lane on the ballot and you cannot cross over or your ballot will not count,” Kent County Clerk Lisa Posthumus Lyons said.
