Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD) officers said they responded to an armed robbery near northwest Alpine Avenue and northwest Crosby Street Sunday after 2:30 p.m. where the suspect led them on a chase onto west I-96 that ended when the driver crashed into a guardrail at M-21 (Fulton Street) just before 3 p.m.
