$436,000 grant looks to add Branch County attorney to federal office

COLDWATER, Mich. (WOOD) — A Branch County attorney will work alongside federal prosecutors in Grand Rapids as part of a $436,000 grant.

The work seeks to crack down on fraud as well as drug and human trafficking. Officials say the idea is to improve relationships with federal prosecutors and open the door to tap into federal agency resources to tackle the crimes not only in Branch, but also across the region.
