Since 2022 when Kendall College of Art and Design, the city of Grand Rapids and Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. took over ArtPrize from founder Rick DeVos, commissioner Steve Faber says Kent County’s role has expanded from logistical support to commitment of taxpayer dollars.
“Our initial contribution to ArtPrize as a county was 75 thousand three years ago. The next year that went to 200 thousand. I think in our budget this year it is 200 again. Now we are really making direct contributions.”…
