2 charged in connection to deadly Kentwood shooting

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Two men have been charged in connection to a deadly shooting in Kentwood early Monday, police say.

Isaiah Xavier Guerrero was arraigned Thursday on charges of open murder, being a prohibited person in possession of a weapon and felony firearm in connection to the death of Johnny Cisneros.

Oscar Lagunes-Munoz was arraigned on a charge of lying to a peace officer in a violent crime investigation.

Kentwood shooting victim ran Cisneros Tire shop, family says

The shooting happened shortly after 4 a.m. Monday in the area of Kalamazoo Avenue SE and Ellora Drive SE. The Kentwood Police Department said by the time officers arrived there on a report of shots fired, two people had been taken to the hospital in private vehicles.
