Michigan will come out of Labor Day weekend with a significant boost in road construction.
More than 100 road projects and special events will begin between Sunday, Sept. 6, and Saturday, Sept. 12, resulting in various levels of closures, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. Those are in addition to dozens of ongoing local and state-level projects.
This week, drivers should be aware of closures on U.S. 131 in Kent County, U.S. 41 in Baraga County, U.S. 23 in Genesee County, M-22 in Leelanau County, U.S. 31 in Grand Traverse County, U.S. 127 in Jackson County and I-75 in Genesee, Otsego and Cheboygan counties…
