BOWNE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Power is expected to go out for about 1,500 customers near Alto this weekend as Consumers Energy upgrades a substation.
It will happen in the eastern Kent County area near the Ionia County line, between I-96 and Bowne Center. Consumers says work on the Alto substation will affect customers starting at 11 p.m. Saturday and could last as late as 7 a.m. Sunday.
Consumers released images of maps where the outages are planned.
