WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Residents have officially started moving into Shea Ravines, a new affordable housing development that’s right next door to Cherry Health’s Wyoming health center.
On Tuesday, Cherry Health and Woda Cooper Companies cut the ribbon on the $18.6 million apartment community. The four-floor, 56-unit development on Burlingame Avenue SW near 28th Street SW includes 40 one-bedroom units and 16 two-bedroom units.

Bill Joure, chief operating officer for Cherry Health, told News 8 the health center had been looking to develop the unused property.
“Housing instability is a huge issue for a lot of the patients that we serve and having stable housing also contributes to good health,” he said. “It’s an aspect of health care that we haven’t participated in before.”…
