WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Maple Hill Golf is looking to develop its golf course in Wyoming, with plans to build a pavilion, an ice cream shop, a mini golf course and more.
Last week, the Wyoming Planning Commission approved a preliminary rezoning request for the sites at 5000 and 5555 Ivanrest Ave. SW near 56th Street SW, which cover a total of 104 acres.

The residentially-zoned properties are currently being used as an 18-hole golf course and driving range, according to documents included in the Planning Commission’s Sept. 15 agenda. Because the existing zoning would not allow for an expansion, Maple Hill Golf asked officials to rezone the sites to PUD-5 golf entertainment district, a new zoning district created for golf courses that wish to offer “complementary, low-volume business activities.”
The sites would still primarily function as a golf course, the documents show, but Maple Hill is hoping to add a pavilion, an ice cream shop, a club fitting building, a mini golf course, a 30,000-square-foot warehouse facility and more parking. Most of the land would remain as open space…
