ROCKFORD, Mich. (WOOD) — A lot has changed since coffee was sold from wooden bins on Division Avenue in downtown Grand Rapids. More than a century later, some of those same bins are still in use at Herman’s Boy in Rockford.
The business is celebrating the 125th anniversary of The Coffee Ranch, a specialty coffee company founded in Grand Rapids in 1901. The Coffee Ranch was acquired by Herman’s Boy in 1982, bringing its recipes, equipment and history north to Rockford. Today, that history is visible throughout the store…
