Juveniles arrested after deputies led on four stolen vehicle chases near Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Two juveniles are in custody after a police chase and search for four stolen vehicles Friday.

Kent County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies responded to someone calling about their vehicle being stolen from their Ada Township driveway in the Adaridge/Adapointe area Friday just after 3 a.m., and upon arrival, deputies encountered four vehicles being driven out of the neighborhood.

Deputies discovered all four to be stolen and started chasing them, managing to spike strip three out of four of them. Grand Rapids Police Department and Michigan State Police provided assistance in finding the vehicles and suspects, according to KCSO.

One of the drivers and a passenger jumped out of the vehicle as it was moving and it rolled down a hill into Ada Cemetery, damaging several headstones. Deputies found the third vehicle abandoned on I-196 near Fuller Avenue…
