GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies are investigating what they’re calling an ‘accidental shooting’ south of Kentwood.
Deputies responded to the area of Eastern Avenue and Woodfield Drive in Gaines Township just before noon Thursday, the Kent County Sheriff’s Office said.
A 22-year-old Tennessee man was shot and went to the hospital for treatment. His injury was not life-threatening, deputies said.
The sheriff’s office said everyone involved was identified and the shooting was determined to be accidental.
