Stolen sleds ‘snowballed’ into call for action for Grand Rapid’s gear library

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Grand Rapids’ free sled libraries were wiped clean after a flurry of snow bunnies headed for sledding hills during the “bomb cyclone” storm. The city’s parks and recreation’s GR Outside division offers outdoor gear to ensure every resident can enjoy the outdoors. This month they installed free sled libraries at three local sledding hills at Mulick, Plaster Creek and Richmond parks.
