A recent study seeking to find the cities and towns across the U.S. that serve the best slices of pizza found and ranked 250 of them, including nine in Michigan. Any study, survey, or ranking about pizza would be sure to have Detroit or Detroit-style pizza as a top contender, right? But no. We were surprised that Detroit ranked far down on the list – No. 210. The study mentioned Detroit and its square pizza, “deep-dish” pizza with crispy edges, calling it “soulful.”
