GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The murder trial for the man accused of shooting and killing Leah Gomez while she was in the car with her daughter is underway. Luis Fabian Bernal-Sosa, 27, is charged with the murder of Gomez, 22. She was sitting inside her car with her, at the time, 1-year-old daughter when she was killed on May 31, 2023, in downtown Grand Rapids.
