Mines Golf Club is Adding a Restaurant and Event Space this Fall

Mines Golf Club, a public course featuring challenging holes, a driving range, a bar, and scenic views in Grand Rapids , is adding a restaurant and a private event space . The club will utilize its building at 330 Covell Ave SW and add a casual dining restaurant and venue called Gypsum Grill and Event Center for rent. Both are anticipated to open in August 2024 .

The project broke ground last September. The golf club updated on Facebook that foundation construction, led by Cedar Springs-based KC Concrete Company , was making progress. The full scope of construction includes a 260-person event space and a restaurant with a 175-seat capacity.

“The restaurant will feature a robust starter menu, entree salads, handhelds, flatbreads, burgers, and entrees that include steak, seafood, and chicken,” Mines Golf Club owner Chris Sobieck told What Now Detroit in an email. “We will also feature live music in the summer months on our outdoor patio space that will be able to accommodate over 100 guests.”
