The Walker Planning Commission has rejected a long-planned townhome community after a two-year review process. Planning commissioners voted 5-4 last week to deny the preliminary area site plan for River Ridge Townhouses, a project led by Scott Wierda, principal and managing partner at Grand Rapids-based CWD Real Estate Investment and co-owner of East Grand Rapids-based Jade Pig Ventures LLC.
