GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Vice President Kamala Harris will make a stop in Grand Rapids next week, her office said.
On Feb. 22, Harris will speak in Grand Rapids for the fourth stop on her “ Fight for Reproductive Freedoms ” tour, which started earlier this year.
She has already visited Waukesha County, Wisconsin; San Jose, California and Savannah, Georgia.
“She is visiting states that are experiencing chaos and confusion after Roe v. Wade was overturned, states where women’s reproductive freedom is being protected, and states with extreme abortion bans that are threatening the lives, health, and wellbeing of women,” her office wrote in a release.
In Michigan, Harris is expected to praise Michigan’s organizers, advocates and elected leaders who have “worked to protect reproductive rights since the overturning of Roe v. Wade,” according to her office.
It will be her fourth visit to Michigan since taking office in 2021.
