Just in time for Valentine’s Day, OpenTable, the online restaurant reservation company, last week released its list of America’s most romantic restaurants.

While no metro Detroit restaurant made OpenTable’s Top 100 Romantic Restaurants in America 2024 , three in Michigan did. Two spots were in Grand Rapids and the third was in New Buffalo — in the southwest corner of the state near the Indiana border.
Here are the three and their OpenTable ratings:
- Copper Rock Steakhouse, New Buffalo: Located in the Four Winds Casino, the restaurant highlights its USDA Prime 55-day dry-aged steaks and cold water lobster and vast wine list, according to its website. OpenTable rating: 4.8
- Leo’s, Grand Rapids: This restaurant is in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids and is noted for its seafood, classic cuisine, decadent desserts and extensive selections of wine. OpenTable rating: 4.9
- MDRD, Grand Rapids: Known for its Spanish cuisine, MDRD is on the 27th floor of the Amway Grand Plaza, with views of the Grand River. OpenTable rating: 4.7.
