GRAND HAVEN — There’s a new arcade coming to the lakeshore.
Grand Fun, an entertainment center for birthday parties, staycations or simply hanging out, is coming soon to Grand Haven. The business will offer arcade games, mini-bowling and pizza, among other activities.
Tim and Sara Pokorski started to build the business in 2016, but a car accident set them back. Recently, they were motivated to get back on track.
“We came back and we said, ‘This is what we have to do,’” Sara said. “This is where we want to be. This is where our heart is.”
Families reserving a two-hour party slot won’t need to run the show. They’ll have a “party host” to walk children through activities, similar to a camp counselor, Tim said.
“We know family time is so short and precious,” Sara said.
The couple also wants to welcome youth groups, small businesses, school field trips, tourists and members of local communities. In putting the business together, they’ve received help from family members, friends, and other business owners.
