TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was hospitalized after a crash with a pickup truck near Walker, deputies said.
Around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, a 19-year-old from mid-Michigan was driving a Ford Focus east on Lake Michigan Drive and turned left on 8th Avenue, pulling into the westbound path of a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The truck crashed into the passenger side of the Focus, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said.
The driver of the Focus was injured and taken to the hospital, according to deputies.
A 20-year-old from the east side of Michigan, who was driving the truck, was not injured, deputies said.
The westbound lanes of Lake Michigan Drive were closed temporarily while deputies investigated the crash.
